Reposting images
Reposting an image
When you click on the repost icon which sits on or just below each image, it will then be shown straight away in the image feeds of anyone who follows you. So it’s a way of sharing the image with your followers, because you think they’d be interested in seeing it.
The owner of the image will also be notified that you've reposted their image. And it also then saves that image in your ‘Reposted’ tab on your profile, so that anyone visiting your profile can see all the images you’ve reposted.
How is this different from loving an image?
When you love an image, that also sends a notification to the image’s owner telling them that you've loved their image.
That image will then be stored in your ‘Loved images’ tab, which is only viewable by you, and is found in the menu dropdown underneath your avatar at the top of the page.
Loved images won't be shared in the feeds of your followers, so it's more of an intereaction just between you and the image owner, and allows you to save images for viewing again at a later date.
